How to take care of your skin during winter

As we all know that winters are coming and weather will become cold.Cold weather and low humidity level makes air dry which results in stealing moisture away from skin every second  Without proper care, dry skin can result in cracking and bleeding.To avoid itching, irritating and redness and to keep skin more moisturize,try to use these tips(As I also use these tips to get shiny and glowy skin in winter)

  1. Wash your face with lukewarm water.
  2. Moisturize immediately after washing your face or taking shower as applying moisture to damp skin helps seal that dampness into the skin. 
  3. Drink more water as we tend to drink less water during winter because during winter we move to hot drinks like tea, but don’t forget that your skin needs hydration from the inside, out. (I use warm water with lemon as it hydrates my skin).
  4. Try to eat foods that are high in water content as it can help hydrate your skin from the inside out. Try watermelon,oranges, kiwi, and watery veggies like tomatoes,carrots cucumbers.
  5. Choose your moisturizer carefully as some moisturizers have petroleum-based ingredients that actually make your skin further dry. Try to choose a smart formula that has nourishing ingredients.
  6. Try to use lip balms to avoid dry and chapped lips(I love to use lip balms during winters)
  7. Try to use Serums, much like face oils, as these are more effective in providing moisture to your skin. 

  8.  Worry from your rough elbows,dry legs and damaged hair? Then use coconut oil.(never ending love for coconut oil).
